SOCPA held a meeting brings together the Human Resources Development Fund with accounting firms

In collaboration with the Human Resources Development Fund, SOCPA organized on Tuesday, 29.08.1436 H corresponding to 16.06.2015, an open meeting that brought together Mr. Mohammed Al-absi, manager of HRDF Riyadh branch  and a number of certified public accountants. The meeting discussed the role played by the Fund in supporting the efforts running to prepare a national workforce and the various programs provided by the Fund to assist young generation in building capacities and skills.
The meeting was opened by Dr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Almeghames, SOCPA Secretary General, who welcomed the attendees and thanked them for their participation.  Mr. Mohammed Al-absi then gave a brief on the objectives and responsibilities of the Human Resources Development Fund and the services it provides and how accounting firms can take advantage of such services. Then the audience discussed several topics pertaining to the support of wages paid to Saudi employees working in accounting firms , how to raise the roof of such support, taking in consideration that additional services can be provided to new practitioners to help them developing their business, such as accounting software. The discussion addressed also preparation of training programs for students of accounting departments in universities, in order to contribute in qualifying them for marketplace.
  It is worth mentioning that this meeting came as a result of SOCPA belief of the need to exchange views and ideas and suggestions between the Fund and the certified public accountants in an attempt to serve Saudization of workforce and development of the capacity of accounting firms. At the end of the meeting, Dr.  Almeghames thanked Mr. Mohammed Al-absi for accepting the invitation and for the visions and ideas emerged during the meeting. Mr. Mohammed Al-absi, on his part, stressed that the Fund is keen to contribute in the development of the national workforce and to raise their competitiveness by supporting specialized distinct training and employment programs that meet the needs of beneficiaries for qualified human cadres and integrated advanced information systems and systematic knowledge and research.
