SOCPA, in collaboration with the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), organized the day before yesterday in Riyadh a lecture on enterprise performance management. The lecture was opened by Dr. Mohammed Aqeel, Assistant Secretary-General for membership and professional development, who welcomed and thanked the attendees for their participation, indicating that SOCPA holding of this lecture comes within its efforts to promote the accounting and auditing profession and all matters that might lead to the development of the profession and enhance its status, in line with SOCPA role and belief to serve public interest and to raise the community awareness.
Then Mr. Gary Cokins, who is an internationally recognized expert, speaker and author in advanced cost management and performance improvement systems, gave a presentation covering:
1. Analytic-based enterprise performance management in private and public organization.
2. The integration of enterprise risk management and enterprise performance management.
3. what barriers slow adopting enterprise performance management?
Many persons, including specialists and people of interest and concern attended and reacted with the lecturer. At the end of the lecture, Dr. Aqeel presented a trophy to the speaker and thanked him on behalf of the audience for his valuable lecture.
