653 accountants, including 147 women, apply to sit for SOCPA fellowship examination
SOCPA fellowship examination, second session of 2014, Launched today, Sunday 15.02.1436H in each of the cities of Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam, Medina, Mecca, Qassim and Abha amid a large turnout of applicants that reached 653 candidates, including 147 women.
SOCPA Fellowship Examination aims to test the candidate’s knowledge of the conceptual framework and his ability to apply such knowledge skillfully and to measure the perceptions of professional responsibility and behavioral features by which an accountant must be characterized. The examination consists of five subjects: Accounting, Auditing, Zakat and Tax, Islamic Jurisprudence and Saudi Commercial Law.
It is worth mentioning that the number of candidates is increasing significantly, which indicates the interest and appreciation given to SOCPA Fellowship Examination among those working in the field of accounting and auditing, and also reflects the growing understanding that SOCPA certificate adds value to professionals. SOCPA has begun conducting its fellowship examination since 1414/1994. Since the beginning date and up to now, more than 3800 candidates participated in SOCPA exam.
