SOCPA Named to Prestigious International Accounting Standards Advisory Forum
The Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA) has been selected as one of only 14 professional bodies worldwide to join the newly formed Advisory Forum for Accounting Standards, as announced by the IFRS Foundation Trustees, who oversee the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB).
This high-level forum is tasked with providing critical technical guidance to the IASB on the development and updating of international accounting standards and is chaired by the IASB’s Chair or Deputy Chair, with membership reserved exclusively for leading professional organizations.
SOCPA’s inclusion in this elite advisory body reflects its growing international reputation and regional leadership in implementing global standards and advancing the accounting profession. Recognized as the primary Arabic-language translator of international accounting standards, SOCPA also actively participates in shaping these standards through its membership in related international committees and consistently provides expert feedback on new and updated IASB standards.
