The Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA) has announced the opening of registration for the second edition of the Accounting Solutions Hackathon. This initiative aims to provide professionals interested in the accounting field an opportunity to participate in creating technological solutions to advance the accounting and auditing professions.
This year’s hackathon aligns with the upcoming Accounting Technologies Conference in October and is strategically partnered with Aramco. Through the hackathon, SOCPA aims to inspire creative solutions to tackle challenges in the profession, foster knowledge sharing, and support promising ideas, helping them grow into viable entrepreneurial projects.
SOCPA encourages accountants, programmers, entrepreneurs, accounting firms, university students, and anyone with an interest in accounting to join. Participants should ensure they meet registration requirements, form their teams, and sign up on the official hackathon website, hackathon.socpa.org.sa, before registration closes on September 1, 2024.
The hackathon will take place from October 17 to 19, 2024, in Riyadh. Winning teams will receive cash prizes totaling SAR 175,000.
