On Monday, May 29, 2023, Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA) organized the annual ceremony for those who obtained professional certificates for the year 2022, under the title "Our Success is a Story... You Can Live It". SOCPA celebrated 990 male and female accountants for obtaining professional certificates in Fellowship exams, VAT specialist, Accounting technician exams, the training course for governmental accounting and auditing, and the professional certificate in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). This celebration proves SOCPA’s keenness to support and enable accountants in order to empower the accounting profession in the Kingdom.
During the celebration, Tawteen training platform was launched in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development to train more than 7,000 accountants. SOCPA also signed another cooperation agreement with King Saud University aiming to activate the accounting simulation labs initiative at the university by supporting the training of students on accounting systems during their undergraduate level and integrating theoretical education with reality to qualify them for the labor market.
Further, several success stories of professional certificates holders were presented at the ceremony. In the end, SOCPA honored the recipients of excellence awards in professional certificates.
