SOCPA Participates in IFAC Chief Executives’ Forum
Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants participated in the Chief Executives Forum organized by the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), on Monday and Tuesday 27-28 February 2023. Ms Asmaa Resmouki, IFAC president, gave the opening remarks, and a number of CEOs from international professional bodies participated in the Forum. During the Forum sessions over the course of two days, the challenges facing the profession in attracting and retaining professionals were discussed. In addition to addressing the opportunities for sustainability that accountants must seize, the role and responsibilities of accountants in anti-money laundering, and international expertise in accounting education and training. SOCPA was represented by the Executive Director of Membership and Professional Qualification, Dr. Musab Al-Jeaid, as he touched upon linking the education system with the profession and the role of the Kingdom in developing the outputs of accounting education and SOCPA's contribution to this through many programs and partnerships with Saudi universities, and the introduction of a number of initiatives that contribute to developing accounting education. This participation is part of SOCPA efforts to showcase the Kingdom success achieved by SOCPA to develop the accounting and auditing profession in Saudi Arabia to be an international example to follow
