SOCPA participates in the 14th Annual Meeting of The Asian-Oceanian Standard-Setters Group
SOCPA, represented by the Accounting Standards Board, participated in14th Annual Meeting of The Asian-Oceanian Standard-Setters Group (AOSSG), which was held in the Republic of Nepal from November 14-16, in addition to participating in the International Conference on IFRS, which was held the day before the AOSSG meeting.
The group discussed several international standards drafts and topics of interest to the group's countries, including how to develop the standard for intangible assets, the third edition of the IFRS for SMEs Accounting Standard, and Primary Financial Statements. Several countries also presented their experiences with applying the requirements of international standards.
SOCPA was represented at this meeting by Mr. Ihsan Makhdoom, Deputy Chairman of the Accounting Standards Board, and Mr. Abdullah Al-Humaida, Member of the Accounting Standards Board at SOCPA.
The SOCPA representatives presented SOCPA's point of view on many topics raised at the meeting.
