OCPA Holds a Roundtable Meeting to Discuss Consulting Services Standard Draft "Engagements for Providing Forensic Accounting Services."
The Saudi Organization for Charted and Professional Accountants (SOCPA), represented by its Accounting Standards Board, organized a round-table meeting to discuss the consulting services standard Draft "Engagements for Providing Forensic Accounting Services." The meeting was attended by a select group of eminent judges and several chartered accountants in SOCPA's headquarters on Wednesday morning, 07-12-2022.
The meeting was commenced by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-mughams, CEO of SOCPA, who welcomed the participants and thanked them for accepting the invitation. He stressed the importance of having such a standard to organize the work of accountants who provide accounting services to the judiciary. He also pointed out that the draft resulted from a workshop with judges and several Chartered Accountants. The workshop was critical in identifying the nature of the services required by judicial authorities from Chartered Accountants, how accountants respond to meet such services, and the contents of the reports they provide.
Then the draft was reviewed, and the discussion was opened to the participants, who presented their views and opinions.
