Under the Patronage of H.E the Minister of Commerce, DR. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, SOCPA organized on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, a ceremony celebrating new holders of professional certificates under the title "Our Success Is a Story You Can Live".
The ceremony was attended by many officials and guests. The number of the celebrated new holders was 1733, and they have obtained professional certificates after passing the SOCPA fellowship exam, the Accounting Technician Exam, and the VAT Specialist Exam, which makes the total recipients of professional certificates in the kingdom 4100 to date.
The ceremony also honored outstanding certificate holders and launched the new accountancy educational curriculum.
In addition, the ceremony included the signing of two cooperation agreements with the Social Development Bank and the Ministry of Human Resources to support and empower chartered accountants, develop the accounting work environment to serve licensees and raise the efficiency of professional services, encourage and support the practice of the profession, and develop effective corporate social responsibility.
It is worth mentioning that the number of applicants for SOCPA's fellowship exams has significantly increased, reflecting its importance among accounting and auditing professionals. This also reflects the growing importance of professional qualifications.
