SOCPA Launches the “Etkal” Platform for Accounting Services
His Excellency the CEO of SOCPA, Dr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Maghamis, and His Excellency Mr. Ayman bin Abdullah Al-Falaj, CEO of Thiqa, inaugurated the Etkal Accounting Services platform. The inauguration took place on the sidelines of the Global Entrepreneurship Congress in Riyadh. The new platform aims to provide e-services to applicants and providers of accounting services, namely accounting and auditing firms and entities, independent accountants, and accounting systems providers.
The Etkal platform will allow small and medium-sized companies to contract with licensed and chartered accountants by SOCPA. The platform also provides auditing services and serves as a contracting channel between companies and approved auditing firms.
SOCPA also elaborated that the Etkal platform works to create a digital accounting environment that helps business growth for the beneficiaries, through a number of service providers registered on the platform and licensed by SOCPA. The platform will also contribute to increasing job opportunities for Saudi accountants in the private sector and increase the percentage of Saudization, regulate freelancing, and the accountancy market as a whole.
