SOCPA organizes a symposium on the impact of AI, cyber-security and big data on the accounting profession
In cooperation with Prince Sultan University (PSU), SOCPA organized a seminar as part of the initiative to align educational outputs with labor market requirements titled "the impact of artificial intelligence, cyber-security and big data on the accounting profession", to discuss how technological developments can impact the accounting and auditing profession, and ways to integrate these developments into educational curricula.
The panel discussion was attended by a selection of speakers: Nerys Johnson, Senior Sales Solutions Engineer at the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Alasdair Munn, Chief Learning and Development - Co-Founder at Box Media, and Richard Staunton, Global Head Academic Channel at AICPA.
The symposium focused on two important themes the first is the impact of digital transformation and technological developments on the accounting profession, and secondly how to integrate AI, cyber-security and big data into accounting curricula.
This event comes as part of a series of events and workshops organized by SOCPA and PSU under the initiative to align education outputs with the labor market requirements. It demonstrates SOCPA's keenness to support accounting education, develop the profession of accounting and auditing, and its effort to utilize and benefit from international experiences in the field of scientific and professional qualification.
