SOCPA Celebrates International Accounting Day and Holds a Number of Events
SOCPA participated in the celebration of International Accounting Day, which falls on the tenth of November every year. As part of the celebration, SOCPA has set up stands in various administration and business colleges under the slogan "Accountant of the Future " in order to raise professional awareness among the students of accounting. The event lasted for three days, and included holding seminars about the future of the profession, SOCPA's professional certification and their role in enhancing investment and scientific opportunities and reaching leadership positions.
On this occasion, SOCPA's CEO Dr. Ahmed Almeghames, stressed that the profession of accounting and auditing is one of the enablers of the national economy towards enhancing business competitiveness, attracting investments and keeping pace with accelerated growth.
Dr. Almeghames also added that the accounting sector is witnessing remarkable developments, due to the regulatory and qualifying environment created by SOCPA which aims to raise the quality of performance and stimulate the sector with programs and initiatives and encourage the practice of the profession and support its practitioners by providing high quality services.
