SOCPA Participates in the Cooperation Forum for Accounting Standards-setting Bodies in the Belt and Silk Road Countries
SOCPA participated on Tuesday, 2-11-2021 remotely (via video conference) in the Cooperation Forum for accounting standards-setting bodies in the Belt and Silk Road Countries which was established by China to exchange views on the requirements of the financial report standards. SOCPA was represented at the forum by the Executive Director of Professional Standards, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-razeen.
SOCPA contributed positively to the forum with its experiences in standards setting and on the topic of business combinations under common control, explaining the view presented to the International board on the study it has prepared on this topic, and presenting the requirements currently applied in the kingdom.
For his part, the representative of SOCPA provided a glimpse to the attendees of the newly issued Saudi standard on financial reporting on liquidation basis.
It is worth mentioning that SOCPA has a prominent presence in the relevant international forums, and actively participates in all activities related to accounting. It also works hard to make its own observations and perspectives heard through meetings in which it is keen to participate directly.
