SOCPA organizes a seminar titled

SOCPA, in cooperation with Prince Sultan University, organized a seminar within the initiative to align education outcomes with labor market requirements under the title: "Accounting Standards in the Public Sector in Saudi Arabia". The seminar saw the participation of over 93 faculty members from various accounting departments from Saudi universities. 
The seminar was presented by Mr. Abdullah Al-Humaida, Director of the Department of Accounting Standards and Policies at the Accrual Accounting Center in the Ministry of Finance. The seminar's agendas included an introduction to the Transformation Project to Accrual Basis Accounting as well as the methodology for establishing accounting standards in the public sector and an overview of the adopted accounting standards in the public sector in the Kingdom.  The seminar also focused on the need for accounting curricula to keep up with the accounting needs of scientific practice and shed light on the proposal to develop governmental accounting curricula in universities. 
It is worth mentioning that the organization of this series of seminars and workshops comes as part of the efforts made by SOCPA in cooperation with Prince Sultan University through the initiative of "aligning education outcomes with labor market requirements" to support accounting education in the Kingdom and study the labor market and its needs.
