International Participation in SOCPA's Workshop About the Alignment of Educational Outputs with Labor Market Requirements
SOCPA organized a workshop with the participation of professional accounting bodies on the subject of the alignment of educational outputs with the labor market. The workshop comes as s continuation of past workshops that SOCPA held in cooperation with Prince Sultan University on the same subject. The goal of this latest workshop is to explore the views of the international participants on the education of accounting, the role of professional certificates in preparing their holders for the labor market, and the skills needed by students in their education. The workshop was attended by five international bodies, namely: the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) of the UK, Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) of the USA, and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) of the UK. This workshop is part of SOCPA's efforts to develop the accounting and auditing profession in the Kingdom and benefit from international experiences in the field of educational and professional qualification.
