SOCPA Reviews Its Achievements In A Report Titled

SOCPA reviewed its achievements over the past five years in a new report titled "The Role Of The Accounting Profession In Building A Prosperous Economy". The report documents the achievements and successes of the organization.
The report begins with and introduction by the minister of commerce and investment Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi, where he talked about the accounting profession as being a booster of development for the kingdom's economy, stating that SOCPA has led the transformation of the profession into becoming an important economic factor enhancing the national economy.
The report contained 7 sections that covered the work of the organization during the past five years. Starting with a section on professional standards, the report reviewed the five most prominent stages in the journey towards the adoption of international standards. The second section entitled "training and qualification", reviewed the specialized programs to qualify the employees of the profession. The third section included detailed statistics of all licensed accountants in the past five years (436 licensed accountant), and the increase of SOCPA's members to more than 99 thousand members.
The report concluded with the achievements of the organization during the corona pandemic, where the organization presented a series of initiatives to mitigate the financial and economic impacts of entities that are licensed to practice accounting and auditing.
It is worth mentioning that the organization aims to develop the profession and improve its services, contribute to enhancing confidence in the national economy, encourage the practice of the profession and support it to provide professional services of high quality, and develop community partnerships in accordance with the kingdom's Vision 2030.
