The committee of considering the applications for registration in the Register of Chartered Accountants issued the license number (513)
The committee of considering the applications for registration in the Register of Chartered Accountants held its first meeting of the eighth session on Sunday, 05.01.1437 AH. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Fahd bin Ahmed Abu Humaid, Undersecretary of Ministry of Commerce and Industry for Technical Affairs, with Mr. Khaled bin Sultan Al Ruwais, SOCPA Board member and Mr. Khalaf bin Mohsen Al-Debian, legal adviser at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry as members, and attended by the Secretary of the Committee Adel bin Ibrahim Al-omer, legal adviser. The committee studied the issues covered by the agenda including a number of applications for registration in the Register of Chartered Accountants and issued its approval for a number of applications. By that, the number of licenses issued so far are (513), including (246)existing and practicing the profession, while the number of licenses canceled or temporarily suspended are (267). During the last period the Committee receives significantly increasing number of applications, for example, licenses issued during the first ten months of 2015 are (26) while during 2014 in full licenses issued were only (13).
His Excellency the chair of the Committee, Dr. Fahd Abouhamd called upon Chartered Accountants to comply, when applying for renewal of license, with the time limit stated in Article five of the CPAs Regulations, by submitting applications ninety days before the license end ,in order to facilitate the Committee's work, be committed to the CPAs Regulations and to maintain the interests of clients.
