SOCPA revealed rapid growth in women's participation in the Saudi accounting sector from 2023 to 2025, reflecting improvements in the quality of the professional environment, a broader base of qualified professionals, and stronger trust in financial reporting through higher compliance with standards and wider regulated practice of the profession. The number of women holding professional certifications grew by 144%, reaching a total of 3,524 by the end of 2025. These certifications span professional tracks such as the SOCPA Fellowship, the VAT Specialist certificate, and other specialized certifications linked to enhancing technical readiness and the quality of professional outputs. Growth also extended to the professions supervised by SOCPA, where the total number of women holding professional licenses rose from 219 licensees at the end of 2023 to 317 at the end of 2025, a 45% increase. This reflects the expanding scope of regulated professional practice and the entry of more women into the profession through the establishment of new professional firms. In training and qualification, the number of female trainees rose from 5,261 in 2023 to 7,727 in 2025, a growth rate of approximately 47%. This points to continued investment in skills development, keeping pace with technical changes, and strengthening professional readiness. This growth reflects the quality of the accounting work environment and the profession's growing appeal to the national workforce, contributing to greater reliability in financial reporting, improved governance and compliance, and better financial decision-making.
