The Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA) announced the issuance of the Professional Examinations Manual for 2026, which contains all organizational and procedural information related to the professional examinations SOCPA plans to conduct during the year. This comes as part of SOCPA's professional role in advancing the accounting and auditing profession and raising the standards of practitioners in the Kingdom.
The manual covers details of several professional examinations, most notably: The SOCPA Fellowship Exam, the Accounting Technician Exam, the Value-Added Tax (VAT) Specialist Exam, the Professional Certificate in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Exam, and the Professional Certificate in Public Sector Accounting Standards Exam, in addition to the Professional Certificate Exams in the Government Accounting and Government Auditing tracks, and the Financial Fraud Examiner Exam.
SOCPA CEO Dr. Ahmad bin Abdullah Almeghames stated that issuing the manual reaffirms SOCPA's commitment to strengthening professional qualification and empowering national talent to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to practice the profession in accordance with the highest professional standards. He noted that the manual aims to provide applicants with comprehensive information on exam content, schedules, registration procedures, venues, and fees for each examination.
He added that the manual also includes examination timetables for the 2026 testing cycles, along with registration requirements and eligibility criteria for each certificate, contributing to a smoother applicant experience and greater transparency and clarity.
