Provisions to apply for temporary cease to practice the profession

The CPAs Enrollment Committee shall decide on applications for temporary cease to practice the profession consistently with provisions approved by H.E the Minister of Commerce and Industry in response to the Committee Memo No. 11/49 dated 28.08.1422 H, as follow:
1. The certified public accountant shall submit an application for temporary cease to practice the profession, accompanied with the original license and the two notifications mentioned in Article11 of the Implementation Rule of the CPAs' Regulations. Cessation request shall be submitted during the validity of the license.
2. The Committee shall look into the reasons for temporary cessation for each case separately and shall be entitled to accept or reject the application and to determine cessation period after coordination with SOCPA with respect to the consequences of such cessation.
3. In case of acceptance, the certified public accountant shall submit to the Committee an application for renewal, three months before expiry of the temporary cessation, accompanied with a document confirming the validity of his membership with SOCPA and existence of reasons for cessation. If a certified public accountant did not comply with these provisions theEnrollment Committee shall be entitled to take necessary actions consistently with the stipulation of Article ( 2/1 ) of the rules governing the work of the committee.
